Jim Corbett National Park is the oldest and largest national park in India. It is widely famous for its enriched flora and fauna. It is also known as India’s first tiger reserve, as it supported the early Project Tiger campaign to save tigers. Over the years, it became a famous tourist destination, attracting millions of wildlife enthusiasts from worldwide every year. Furthermore, this national park is also termed the paradise of bird lovers. So, it’s not only about the Royal Bengal Tigers. It is home to 600+ bird species, including residents and migrants. Hence, one of the best destinations for a beautiful bird-watching experience in India. As Corbett is a habitat of such a great species, Birdlife International has announced this park as an “Important Bird Area” (IBA). If you are a birdwatcher, you are going to love this place. Day 1: Drive from Delhi to Pangot (Approx. 310 km / 7–8 hrs)Begin your journey by train and travel from Delhi to Kathgodam. We will pick you up from Kathgodam train station. Then, we will leave for Pangot by road. Pangot is a scenic hill station offering enchanting beauty. After reaching Pangot, check into the wildlife resort and get some fresh air. Once you've finished your breakfast, we will head to the Kilbury Bird Sanctuary for a beautiful bird-watching experience. After exploring here, we will get back to the resort for lunch. After lunch, you can go out in the afternoon to spot birds in Bagger and walk through the sylvan thicket. Dinner and enjoy your overnight stay at Pangot.
Day 2: Drive from Pangot to Corbett (Approx. 80 km / 3–4 hrs)The second day of your bird watching pack will take you to explore the wilderness of Jim Corbett National Park. Post breakfast, we head towards Corbett. During our journey to Corbett, we will take a stop at Mangoli Valley. It is a beautiful bird-watching spot, and you can explore a variety of birds here. After that, we will directly enter Corbett’s Bijrani Zone, Dhikuli village. Check in and take some rest. Post lunch, you can walk around the resort in Dhikuli village. Furthermore, to enjoy the calmness and see a lot of birds, take a walk at the riverbed and across Loha Pul (Iron Bridge). Have your dinner and get a good sleep.
Day 3: Morning Safari in Corbett National Park & Drive Back to DelhiThe third day of your trip brings you the best of Corbett explorations. Post breakfast, we will go for a jeep safari through the Khumeria, Marchula, and Sitabani forest reserves. Here, you explore the extensive birdlife of Corbett forest. Morning is considered the best time for birdwatching. After spending your morning watching birds in this dense forest, it’s time to go back to the resort for lunch. Post lunch, we will go on an afternoon jeep safari for the Jhirna or Bijrani Tiger Reserve Zone in Corbett National Park at 02:00 P.M. During this safari adventure, you can enjoy 3 hours of bird watching experience.
Your Corbett Bird Watching package ends here. After experiencing all these, it's time to say goodbye to Corbett. Catch a train from Ramnagar station at 07:00 P.M. for Delhi. You will be in Delhi by the next morning.
